RSGC has established reciprocal or affiliation arrangements with eight golf clubs in Japan but has yet to forge any connections in Okinawa. With this latest addition, Kanucha Resort marks RSGC’s first reciprocal club in Okinawa, Japan.

The story began in August 2023 when Tadayuki Harada, Advisor of Kanucha Resort, who is also an RSGC Member initiated discussions with RSGC management at the recommendation of Datuk Ichiro Suzuki – to forge a mutually beneficial relationship between RSGC and Kanucha Resort. The reciprocal agreement was formalised in September 2023, laying the foundation for a flourishing partnership.

The eagerly anticipated inaugural visit by Kanucha Resort to RSGC was slated for 4 and 5 April 2024, with a delegation comprising 13 members and committee officials. However, fate had other plans. On 3 April, an earthquake occurred disrupting travel plans and limiting the delegation to just four individuals. Despite the unforeseen challenge, Kanucha Resort delegate led by Director Takeyuki Shiraishi along with members Kazuhiro Sasaki and Takenobu Shiraishi, accompanied by Tadayuki Harada, graced RSGC with their presence.
The show must go on! Despite having only four Kanucha members present, thank you for coming!
RSGC extended a warm and gracious welcome to the esteemed guests, showcasing the hospitality and camaraderie that define the spirit of golf. This partnership underscores RSGC’s commitment to fostering reciprocal alliances and expanding its network within the golfing community.
