The M Ramayah Cup, formerly known as the Annual Caddie Golf Competition, unfolded on April 29, 2024, marking a significant celebration dedicated to the invaluable role of caddies. This esteemed tradition, now in its 54th year, holds deep significance as it pays homage to the late M Ramayah, whose illustrious career began as a caddie at RSGC. The legendary 13-time World Cup golfer and renowned Coaching Pro, passed away after battling cancer in March 2023.

Commencing at the break of dawn, 54 participants embarked on the East Course with a 2-point start, navigating through the 1st Nine Old Course and 2nd Nine New Course. The tournament kicked off at 7:48 am and finished at 1:30 pm amidst a backdrop of spirited competition.

Post-battle, participants gathered for a luncheon and an eagerly anticipated prize presentation at The Rotunda. Among the distinguished guests were Captain John Eu and Golf Convenor Ezani Datuk Abu Bakar, who, alongside Omar Salim and Faridah Salim, took centre stage to give away the prizes.

Captain John Eu set the tone for the ceremony with a warm welcome speech, followed by heartfelt remarks from Caddie Liaison Hamzah.
Awards were bestowed for outstanding performances across various categories, including Senior Caddies, Net, and Gross events, while the Lucky Draw Session added an extra layer of excitement to the festivities.
In a fitting conclusion, sincere gratitude was extended to the caddies for their dedication and service, accompanied by appreciation for the club members whose steadfast support ensured the success of the event.
