Seventeen ladies aged 60 to 80 played a stableford competition over 18 holes for the Golden Girls challenge trophy. In 2011, Past Captains Datin Nina Ghazali, Rosie Dewal and Chan Eng Looi donated a challenge trophy to encourage senior ladies to continue competing in their golden years. When it was first played, 55 year-old ladies were eligible to play. However the minimum age has now been changed to 60.
All ready for the early morning game!
The first three winners were over 70 years of age and at least 7 players played under their current handicaps. These stellar results speak well about the current state of our senior ladies.
