The Berrington Gold Medal is an annual event open to all male members who won a Monthly Medal in the previous year and have a WHS Handicap Index of 15.8 or below. In 2025, the tournament returned to its tradition of being played alongside the Annual Club Championship Qualifying Round.
This year, 13 players competed for the title on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at the Old Course. With green speeds at 9.5, the course was in great shape, setting the stage for a thrilling competition.
The competition was tight from the start. Tan Shen Wain took an early lead with a nett 35 on the front nine, while Toh Hock Siew and Chang Jeong Kith stayed close behind with nett 36. With the pressure building on the back nine, Toh Hock Siew showed great consistency, posting another nett 36 for a total of nett 72, securing his victory as the Berrington Gold Medal 2025 Champion.

Chang Jeong Kith followed closely, scoring nett 37 on the second nine to finish with nett 73, earning the runner-up position. Meanwhile, Faiz K. Ahmad claimed the Best Gross Winner title. Congratulations to all the winners on their well-deserved victory!
