A huge storm did not delay Members and guests arriving on time to complimentary free-flow drinks, including wine, beer, and soft drinks, and fresh popcorn. The Great performance by Evie and the band setting of LATG was maintained with its signature casual and intimate vibe, allowing guests to unwind and enjoy the evening in style.
At 8:30 pm, the captivating Evie Feroza took the stage, joined by her talented four-piece band, which included a keyboardist, drummer, guitarist, and bassist. The mood quickly shifted from casual conversation to awe as Evie’s powerful voice filled the air with a variety of crowd favourites, including the iconic Sinaran by Sheila Majid, Say a Little Prayer by Aretha Franklin, and Ain’t No Mountain High Enough by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. The setlist also featured the heartfelt ballad This I Promise You by NSYNC, alongside the smooth R&B hit Back at One by Brian McKnight, each adding to the romantic atmosphere of the night.
The audience’s excitement grew when Evie asked for requests, and was answered with shouts for favourite songs and she gamely fulfilled 3 requests. The highlight of the night appeared to be when she invited her bassist Gideon to sing and the crowd was stunned to hear his beautiful voice perform a Disney song. Calls for more however, went unanswered. When Evie offered an encore only if Members took to the dancefloor, the crowd did not hesitate and were rewarded with not one, but three encores.
As Is now traditional at Live At The Green, complimentary pizzas were brought out during the break, adding to the fun and memorable experience for everyone, with the event’s turnout reflecting the growing popularity of CPRESC’s gatherings, this one proving to be another resounding success.
Live at The Green with Evie Feroza – performing Love Songs and Valentines was the perfect start to CPRESC’s 2025 event calendar. The incredible voice Evie Feroza and the great band created a night one of pure enjoyment for all who attended.
