Congratulations on your first big win! How does it feel to be the Junior Boys’ Champion? I feel pretty good about myself for winning. It wasn’t easy with the mistakes I made, but I managed to come back.
What was the biggest challenge you faced during the tournament? It was mostly my short game that challenged me the most.
Can you share a moment in the competition that stood out to you? Having a great comeback on the second nine after struggling a bit on the first nine.
How did you prepare for this tournament, and did you expect to win? I practised a lot on the course and worked on my swing at the driving range. I wasn’t expecting to win, but I’m just lucky I was able to claim my first ever Junior Club Champs trophy.
Who do you look up to in the golfing world, and why? I look up to Tiger Woods because of his strong mentality and how he wins multiple tournaments like it’s nothing.
What’s next for you in your golf journey? Next year’s Club Championship—and trying to Riley Karner make the Junior KL State Team.
