Exploring the World of Code: A Hands-On Experience with CIY Club

On 13 April, the Multipurpose Hall at RSGC was transformed into a buzzing hub of creativity and innovation as we hosted an exciting coding experience session in collaboration with the Code It Yourself or CIY Club.

Aimed at young, curious minds, the session introduced young participants to the fundamentals of coding through engaging, Instructor guiding participant to module design for 3D printing hands-on activities. From creating simple games to experimenting with animation and interactivity, the room was filled with energy, imagination, and curiosity.

With guidance from the enthusiastic CIY team, participants of all skill levels had the opportunity to learn at their own pace and bring their ideas to life. The room buzzed with excitement as our young coders explored new concepts and proudly showcased their digital creations.

In addition to the coding session, parents were invited to a special briefing by the Director of CIY Club, where they gained deeper insights into the importance and long-term advantages of coding education. The talk highlighted how CIY’s programs help build essential 21st-century skills such as creativity, logical thinking, and digital confidence — all in a supportive and fun environment.

Following the success of this session, we are thrilled to announce that weekly coding classes with CIY Club will soon be available at RSGC. These classes are specially designed for children and teens aged 7–17, offering a fun and enriching way to build digital skills and confidence.

Interested parents who wish to register their children can contact the Sports Department at sports@ rsgc.com.my or call 03-9206 3243 / 3245 for more information.

We extend our thanks to CIY Club for a fantastic session and look forward to building a long-term collaboration that sparks innovation and learning among our young Members and we are proud to have played a part in nurturing the next generation of innovators.
