April’s edition of Live at The Green featured the return of our very first Live At The Green artiste Dasha Logan for an evening themed Riang Raya with a heartfelt tribute to her late father Loga and his band the legendary Alleycats. Organised by the Communications, PR & Events Subcommittee (CPRESC), this was the second event in the 2025 series and marked the 13th Live at The Green evening since its launch with Dasha in 2023.
The evening was officially opened by CPRESC Convenor Yasmin Yusuff, who welcomed members and guests before introducing Dasha Logan. Yasmin also announced the upcoming Live at The Green line-up: a Motown Tribute in May, which is already fully booked, and a Queen Tribute by Russel Curtis coming up in June.
Members and their guests enjoyed an hour of complimentary drinks, along with fresh popcorn from our now well-known popcorn machine. In the spirit of Riang Raya, surprise packets of nasi lemak were served at each table during the break, replacing the usual pizzas and adding a festive local touch.
For this special show Dasha took the audience back in time with songs that were performed by The Alleycats throughout their career. Accompanied by a talented fourpiece band (keyboard, drums, guitar and bass), her setlist featured It’s Too Late by Carole King, Fields of Gold by Sting, Lyin’ Eyes by Eagles, and evergreen Alleycats hits that the audience singing along.
With glowing feedback and a festive mood in the air, Live at The Green: Dasha Logan – A Tribute to Alleycats was a resounding success, continuing the momentum of this much-loved series.
