Following the Qualifying Round on 10 August 2025, sixteen players advanced to the Match Play stage of the 2025 Guillemard Cup. The competition, held over the Old Course, featured a series of exciting knockout matches as players battled for a place in the final.
In the Round of 16, strong performances came from Shahrin Merican, Johan Mohamad, Mohammed Rashiq Ridwan, Razman Mohamad, Tan Shen Wain, Mark Leong, Leong Chun Yan, and Casey Ng, who advanced to the Quarter Finals.
The Quarter Finals saw Shahrin Merican, Tan Shen Wain, Casey Ng, and Mohammed Rashiq Ridwan move one step closer to the title after hard-fought wins. In the Semi Finals, Tan Shen Wain overcame Casey Ng, while Mohammed Rashiq Ridwan defeated Shahrin Merican to reach the final.
The Final, played on Sunday, 28 September 2025, was a thrilling encounter between Mohammed Rashiq Ridwan and Tan Shen Wain. After a closely contested match, Mohammed Rashiq Ridwan emerged victorious and was crowned the 2025 Guillemard Cup Champion.
