1. TIMEFRAMES FOR SUBMISSION OF SCORECARDS
In line with the recommendation from the Malaysian Golf Association (MGA), GCSC wishes to inform members that all scorecards must be submitted within three (3) days from the date the scorecard is created. This requirement applies to both mobile app submissions and manual web submissions. Members are strongly encouraged to submit scores promptly to ensure accuracy and consistency in handicap calculations.
As stated by MGA, any score submitted after the three-day timeframe will be considered invalid and will not be accepted for handicapping purposes. Members are also reminded that no scores older than one (1) month from the date of play may be used for handicap calculations.
We appreciate members’ cooperation in adhering to these timelines.
2. INTRODUCTION LETTER REQUIREMENT FOR RECIPROCAL VISITS GCSC
has requested The Management to issue a notice to all reciprocal clubs informing them that they reserve the right to deny entry to any visiting member who arrives without an Introduction Letter. To avoid inconvenience, members are reminded that a minimum of three (3) days’ notice is required for the issuance of an Introduction Letter to allow sufficient processing time.
To request an Introduction Letter, kindly complete the Reciprocal Form at the Front Office or email sports@rsgc.com.my with the following details:
• Full names of all visiting members
• Membership numbers
• Name of the reciprocal club
• Date of visit
Members are also reminded to bring their Introduction Letter, membership card, and passport or identification document when registering at reciprocal clubs.
3. QUALIFYING CHILDREN GOLF RESTRICTIONS GCSC
has finalised updates to the Qualifying Children Bye-Laws (Bye-Laws 47) to ensure clearer guidelines and consistent application of playing privileges for qualifying children. The revised bye-law strengthens eligibility requirements, refines verification procedures, and introduces a more structured process for activating and managing these privileges.
Members may wish to note that Qualifying Children playing privileges were temporarily placed on hold on 29 November 2025 and reinstated on 6 December 2025 following The Committee’s approval to ease the bye-laws. GCSC is aware of the concerns this pause may have raised among parents and wishes to assure members that the decision was necessary to ensure that the Course Control Policy and the Bye-Laws are properly aligned, as both must work in tandem to create a safe, fair, and well-managed playing environment. This alignment remains a key priority for GCSC.
When this circular is issued, the second reading of the Qualifying Children play-time restrictions has been approved, marking the next step toward establishing a clearer and more organised framework for junior access on the course.
GCSC remains committed to supporting junior golfers and continues to warmly welcome them as part of the Club’s golfing community. For further clarity on playing access and restrictions, members are encouraged to refer to the Course Control Policy provided below.
