The reciprocal between The Royal Selangor Golf Club and Mona Yongpyong was signed on 24 April 2025. Yongpyong Resort in Pyeongchang, South Korea, is a popular destination known for skiing, golfing, and leisure facilities, and is home to three golf courses — Yongpyong Golf Club, YongPyong 9 Golf Course, and Birch Hill Country Club.
RSGC was honoured to host the delegation from Mona Yongpyong on Thursday, 20 November 2025, marking their first visit following the reciprocal signing. After breakfast, the group proceeded to the Old Course, where tee-off began at 9.00 a.m.
We were pleased to welcome the eight Board Members of Birch Hill Golf Club’s Operating Committee, together with RSGC Vice Captain David Mah and Committee Members Ally Azwin and Jonathan Bong. Our appreciation also goes to Members Thomas Chun, Rosalia Shin, Jerry Kim, Choi Jong Kyoo, and Lee Kyung Hyun for joining the round and contributing to the warm camaraderie.
The visit concluded with lunch at The Modesto’s, joined by RSGC Members Sim Jun Hyung of the Korean Embassy and James Kim, bringing the day to a close with a friendly and engaging exchange between both clubs.
