Lim – Chew Partnership Wins Senior Golfers’ Trophy 2025

The Senior Golfers’ Trophy was played on Saturday, 29 November 2025, on the East Course (1st Old / 2nd New). A total of 32 players took part in this annual event, contested in the FourBall Better Ball Par/Bogey format over 18 holes.

The competition was open to Men Competitors with a WHS Handicap Index of 16.0 and below, with those above the limit required to play off a handicap index of 16.0. The East Course provided a good test on the day, with teamwork and consistency proving key throughout the round.

After a tightly contested round, Lim Chin Hong and Chew Cheong Kin finished level at the top of the leaderboard on +8 and went on to secure the title after a one-hole play-off. They edged out Dilsher Singh and K. Harikrishna, who also posted +8 to take the Runner-Up position.

Reflecting on the win, Chew Cheong Kin highlighted the importance of partnership. “The most important factors in a partnership are staying positive and always playing your best, and stepping in when your partner is in trouble,” he said.

Lim Chin Hong echoed the sentiment with a touch of humour. “I’m sure everyone has heard of the ‘air-con bus’. My partner, Chew Cheong Kin, played absolutely well that day and I was cruising along in it. I did contribute on some important holes — that’s part of partnership. I’d like to thank him for his great golf and hope to return next year to defend our Senior Golfers’ Trophy.”

The event was played in a friendly and sporting spirit, rounding off another successful edition of the Senior Golfers’ Trophy. Congratulations to Lim Chin Hong and Chew Cheong Kin on their wellearned victory.
