Ladies K.E. Cheok Cup

Saturday morning, 24 January 2026 saw the Ladies Section gather on the New Course (1st New / 2nd New) for two meaningful competitions held concurrently — the K.E. Cheok Cup and the Ladies Consolation Cup. Played over 18 holes of stroke play, the day reflected both achievement and aspiration within the Section, bringing together past Monthly Medal achievers and those seeking their next breakthrough.

LADIES K.E. CHEOK CUP 2026

The K.E. Cheok Cup is open to members of the Ladies Golf Section who had won Division A, B or C in a Monthly Medal during the preceding calendar year, as well as those who had secured First place, Runner-up or Third place in a collapsed division Monthly Medal. The competition was decided over 18 holes of stroke play off a valid WHS Handicap Index of 32.3 and below at the closing date of entries.

Lai Set Fah emerged as the K.E. Cheok Cup Champion 2026 with an excellent score of 68 nett. Dorothy Ng finished runner-up on 70 nett on countback and also secured Best Gross with 81. Linca Yeoh placed third with 70 nett, followed by Hiroko Suzuki on 73 nett. June Chow and Linda Lim rounded off the top six on 76 nett, with June edging ahead on countback.

Reflecting on her win, Lai Set Fah shared, “I’m so lucky to have a chance to win the K.E. Cheok Cup.”

The K.E. Cheok Cup was first played in 1976, with E. Catterall emerging as the inaugural winner of Ladies Monthly Medal. The trophy was generously donated by the husband of one of the Lady Golfers, reflecting the long-standing support and strong sense of community within the Ladies Section.
