The Ladies Consolation Cup was open to members who had not secured a Monthly Medal placing during the preceding calendar year. Like the K.E. Cheok Cup, it was contested over 18 holes of stroke play on the New Course.
Chizuko Hirata claimed the Consolation Cup title with a winning score of 69 nett. Kanae Yutani finished runner-up on 74 nett. Dania Lau secured Best Gross with 85 on countback and also placed third overall with 75 nett. Rosha Shin finished fourth on 77 nett, followed by fifth place on 78 nett.
Reflecting on her victory, Hirata shared.
“I am truly delighted to have won the Consolation Cup for the first time. It was a wonderful experience for me. This year, I hope to win the Medal and earn the opportunity to compete in the KE Cheok Cup next time. I would like to continue enjoying golf while improving my game.”
