The Royal Selangor Golf Club (RSGC) celebrated Hari Raya Aidilfitri with a festive open house held at the Main Lounge, welcoming Members and their families for an evening filled with fellowship, entertainment, and traditional Malaysian cuisine.
The celebration commenced at 6.30 pm with 246 attendees. Members arrived dressed in colourful traditional attire, creating a warm and lively atmosphere throughout the evening.
The event officially began with welcoming remarks by F&B, Communications, PR & Events Sub-Committee Convenor Dato’ Ally Azwin Abdul Hamid and Captain Raymond Yeoh, who welcomed Members and their families to the annual gathering.
Throughout the evening, Members were entertained by performances from Balle Balle Entertainment. Members also participated in interactive activities, including the best-dressed segment and the joget lambak session, which saw enthusiastic participation from Members and their families.
A key highlight of the evening was the Hari Raya buffet prepared by the Club’s new restaurant operator, The Social, marking its debut during a major Club celebration. Members enjoyed a wide selection of Malaysian favourites, including Popia Goreng, Cucur Udang, Roti Jala with curry, Laksa Johor, Chicken and Beef Satay, Nasi Kerabu, Nasi Minyak, Ayam Perchik, Daging Rendang, Ikan Bakar, Terung Sambal, traditional Lemang, and Kambing Golek.
Traditional desserts and beverages including assorted Malay kuih, pandan gula Melaka cake, cendol, sirap, and teh tarik completed the festive dining experience. The buffet spread and festive selections received favourable feedback from Members throughout the evening.
Members and their families spent the evening dining, socialising, taking photographs, and enjoying the lively atmosphere at the Main Lounge. The event concluded at 9.30 pm.
Special appreciation was extended to the F&B Communications, PR & Events Department, The Social team, performers, and supporting staff for their efforts in ensuring the smooth execution of the celebration.
Overall, the RSGC Hari Raya Open House 2026 was well received by Members and their families, reflecting the Club’s continued efforts in fostering fellowship and celebrating cultural traditions within the Club community.
