Yong Tau Foo: A Rotunda Favourite for Over 30 Years

Despite misconceptions that some traditional favourites have been temporarily paused during this transition, the Yong Tau Foo station remains a key fixture at The Rotunda. Run by Jimmy Poon and his family for over 30 years, the popular Yong Tau Foo continues to be a longstanding favourite among Members, especially at weekends. The stall remains open within the Club from 7.00 am to 2.00 pm every Saturday and Sunday, complementing the Club’s dining operations while continuing to serve generations of Members.

Over the years, the Yong Tau Foo stall has built a loyal following among Members who appreciate its consistency and familiar flavours. While dining trends continue to evolve, Yong Tau Foo remains a popular choice among Members after a morning swim, tennis session, or casual gathering with family and friends.

The Yong Tau Foo stall offers a variety of proteins and assorted vegetables such as white fish balls, fried fish balls, sotong balls, crab meat balls, chicken sausages, crab sticks, fried wantons, and many more selections priced from as low as RM2.30 per piece. Members are able to customise their bowls according to their preferences. The Yong Tau Foo selection also includes wantan soup noodles in both large and small sizes, ranging from RM13.80 to RM14.80, as well as wantan noodles (dry), wantan soup, and plain noodles.

The combination of soft tofu and fish paste provides a savoury balance, while the fried selections add texture to the meal. Members may choose between the soup version or the dry version served with sweet sauce and chilli sauce according to their preferences.
