Members Elect New Captain and Four Committee Members for 2026/2027
Members of The Royal Selangor Golf Club gathered at the Main Lounge on Saturday, 20 June 2026 for the Club’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), held in a hybrid format that enabled Members to participate both in person and virtually. The meeting provided Members with an important platform to review the Club’s performance, deliberate on matters affecting its future direction and elect the Captain and Committee Members for the 2026/2027 term.
President Eddy Chen officially opened the Annual General Meeting and welcomed Members. This was followed by the confirmation of the quorum for Members attending both physically and virtually, after which the meeting proceeded with the administration of the agenda. Members then received the President’s Address and the Captain’s Report before proceeding with the business of the meeting.
Members subsequently considered the Minutes of the 2025 General Meetings before deliberating on five Ordinary Resolutions relating to the Club’s Statutory Financial Statements, the re-appointment of the Club’s external auditors, the proposed budget for the upgrading and longterm enhancement of the Club’s golf courses, as well as two resolutions proposed by Members concerning the management of the Club’s Food & Beverage operations and the reinstatement of a tennis coach. Upon completion of the voting process, the first three resolutions were carried, while the remaining two resolutions were not carried.
The meeting then proceeded with the election of the Captain and four Committee Members for the 2026/2027 term. Lee Kok Kwan was elected as Captain, while Chang Jeong Kith, Mark Tan Hock Soon, Omar Jalil Salim and Goh Ying Li were elected to The Committee. The AGM concluded with the Chairman’s announcement of the official election and voting results, marking the commencement of a new term of leadership for the Club. The Annual General Meeting continues to serve as an important platform for Members to participate in the governance of The Royal Selangor Golf Club, reflecting the Club’s commitment to transparency, accountability and the collective responsibility of its Members in shaping the Club’s future.
