The Royal Selangor Golf Club welcomed a 40-member contingent from Hong Kong Golf Club on Saturday, 13 June 2026 for another memorable edition of the Dragon Kris Bowl Trophy. The visiting team was led by Captain Bryant Lu, who made his first official visit to RSGC as Captain, while Captain Raymond Yeoh led Team RSGC on home soil.
The longstanding friendship between The Royal Selangor Golf Club and Hong Kong Golf Club dates back to 1968, when the reciprocal relationship was first formalised by former RSGC Secretary Vincent Yong. Although Hong Kong Golf Club was then known as The Royal Hong Kong Golf Club, prior to its name change in 1996, the between the two Clubs has continued to flourish. The reciprocal agreement, most recently updated in January 2013, remains a testament to the enduring friendship shared between both Clubs. Introduced in 1979, the Dragon Kris Bowl Trophy has become one of RSGC’s most cherished Interport traditions, bringing Members together through friendly competition, warm hospitality and lasting camaraderie. More than a golf match, the annual fixture reflects the shared values and enduring friendship that have defined the relationship between the two Clubs for almost six decades.
Played on the Old Course in a Four-Ball Match Play format, this year’s fixture once again showcased the true spirit of Interport golf. While the competition on the course was keenly contested, the occasion also provided Members from both Clubs with the opportunity to renew friendships, strengthen longstanding ties and enjoy another memorable day together.
Team RSGC delivered an outstanding performance, defeating Hong Kong Golf Club 32 points to 8 to retain the Dragon Kris Bowl Trophy on home ground. The convincing victory reflected an excellent team effort, with every match contributing towards another successful chapter in the Club’s proud Interport history.
Congratulations to all 40 Members who proudly represented RSGC. Your commitment, sportsmanship and dedication reflected the very best of our Club, both on and off the course. Interport golf continues to thrive because of Members who willingly give their time to represent the Club, and your contribution ensures that this proud tradition continues for future generations.
