The Royal Selangor Golf Club hosted the M Ramayah Cup 2026 on Monday, 13 April 2026, at the East Course (1st Old / 2nd New), played in Stroke Play format. A cherished annual tradition, the championship is dedicated to the Club’s registered caddies, providing them with an opportunity to showcase their golfing ability while celebrating sportsmanship, discipline and fellowship.
This year’s championship featured three categories: Open Event (Gross), Handicap Event (Nett) and Senior Event (Gross), attracting strong participation from caddies whose dedication and service continue to contribute to the Club’s rich golfing tradition.
In the Open Event (Gross), V. Karunanithee emerged as champion with a score of 77, followed by Majit Anak Ngalang as runner-up with 79, while Mohd Radzi Hussin finished third with a score of 82. Agus Wahyudi captured the Handicap Event (Nett) title with a score of 70, while Rosmanita Ariffin claimed the Senior Event (Gross) title with a score of 93.
Beyond the competition, the championship reflected the values of respect, integrity and camaraderie that have long been associated with the Club. Participants demonstrated determination and exemplary sportsmanship throughout the day, making the event another memorable occasion on the RSGC golfing calendar.
Following the competition, players and guests gathered at the Buggy Station for a luncheon, where they enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate the day’s achievements and strengthen the fellowship shared within the Club’s golfing community
The afternoon concluded with the prize presentation ceremony and a lucky draw, made possible through the generous support of Members who contributed prizes and prize money for the tournament winners and lucky draw recipients.
RSGC records its appreciation to Ezani Abu Bakar, Golf Convenor, for his leadership and commitment in overseeing the planning and successful execution of the championship.
