Aimen Sho Finds His Form at Piala Dato Hussein Onn

For the first time since the RSGC Club Championship in January, Aimen Sho was back in competition — and what a way to make his return count. The Piala Dato Hussein Onn 2026 was held on Saturday morning, 15 August 2026, with 54 players taking to the Old Course for the annual competition. Played in the Par/ Bogey format, the event brought together RSGC Members for another enjoyable morning of golf.

At the end of the round, it was Aimen who came out on top with an impressive score of +7, while Tan Shen Wain finished runner-up with +4 on OCB.

For Aimen, the win came at a particularly encouraging time. Before entering the competition, he had been dealing with chipping yips and a short game that was not quite where he wanted it to be. After spending time working on his game, Aimen was glad to see his efforts finally showing on the course.

“This tournament was the first I had participated in since the Club Champs back in January. Before the start of this competition, I was dealing with chipping yips and my short game was very poor. I finally managed to fix it.”

The win was certainly a welcome boost for Aimen, especially as he looks ahead to the remaining competitions of the year.

I don’t want to jinx it, but my game is looking really sharp and I’m looking forward to finishing this year strong and getting back to the top of my form.”

It was an encouraging return to competition for Aimen and a rewarding result after the work he had put into rebuilding his short game.

Congratulations to Aimen Sho on winning the Piala Dato Hussein Onn 2026, and well done to Tan Shen Wain on his runner-up finish. A big thank you also goes to all 54 players who took part and made it another enjoyable morning of competition at RSGC.
