Dear Members, As February 2024 unfolds, we extend our warmest wishes to all Members, Gong Xi Fa Chai! May the Year of the Dragon bring Good Health, Happiness and Prosperity to all.
Looking back at the conclusion of 2023, our New Year’s Eve celebration was an extraordinary hit, marked by the dynamic shows of 9 Lives and DJ De Rajj. I must admit I was impressed by the great dancing ability of our Members, especially our ladies.
In the spirit of the festive season, the Club organised a Christmas Party for three selected orphanages. The event was filled with joy, featuring entertainers and gifts for all the children, creating a memorable experience for all involved.
As we progress into 2024, I am pleased to report that our Golf Course Upgrade Project is advancing smoothly. The Project Steering Committee, including Dinesh Nambiar, Wan Din, and myself, are diligently working with our architects and consultants. We are finalizing essential documents such as the Working Drawing, Bill of Quantities, and Scope of Work for the upcoming Tender process. Our goal is to have the Tender Documentation ready by the end of March, with the Tender and Award phase planned for April/May 2024. We will continue to update you regularly on the notice board regarding the progress and timeline of this key project.
The first quarter is always a bustling time with our Club Championships for Men, Ladies, Juniors, and Seniors. Additionally, we are delighted to host various reciprocal clubs from Korea, Japan, and Thailand.
Please note that a significant portion of our 2024 Capital Expenditures (CAPEX) will commence towards the end of the first quarter.
