Leong Chun Yan – Runner-up and Best Gross Winner

First played in 1929 by Sir Hugh Clifford, the Clifford Cup is one of RSGC’s most historic trophy events. Open to players with a club handicap of 18 or lower, those with higher handicaps are welcome to participate but must play off a handicap of 18. The event is played in a stroke play format over 18 holes, with the winner determined by the lowest net score.

To make the golf competition more enjoyable, the Clifford Cup, along with other major tournaments like the Glassford Cup and Lake Cup, switched to a one-day format starting in 2020, instead of the previous two-day setup.

Lucas Long – youngest player in the field

Leong Chun Yan also delivered the best gross score of the day, finishing with an even – par, 72.
