Excitement Builds as Press Conference Kicks Off RSGC Ladies Amateur Open Championship 2024

The RSGC Ladies Amateur Open Championship 2024 kicked off with a successful press conference on 12 June 2024, at The Green. The event drew significant attention, with 30 media representatives in attendance, including RTM, Astro Arena, Berita Harian, Bernama, Cakap Sukan, Golf Malaysia, Kosmo, NSTP, The Star, The Sun, TV3, China Press, Sin Chew Daily, and Utusan Malaysia.

The day began with a friendly golf round in the morning, offering organising committee members and media personnel a chance to enjoy a sunny day on the course. This informal gathering fostered a relaxed and interactive environment, setting a positive tone for the championship.

The press conference officially started in the afternoon, where Ai-leen Tan, the Lady Golf Captain and Organising Chairperson, delivered a comprehensive speech.

 

In her address, Ai-leen Tan highlighted the history and evolution of the RSGC Ladies Amateur Open, which began 53 years ago as a social event and has now become a major regional competition.

During the Q&A session, Ai-leen was joined by Golf Convenor Ezani Abu Bakar, Tournament Director Chew Seng Poh, and Yasmin Yusuff. They provided additional insights and answered questions from the media, further building anticipation for the event.
