The Royal Selangor Golf Club (RSGC) recently welcomed a team from Ryugasaki Country Club (RCC) for a two-day event on June 20th and 21st, 2024. The visiting team, comprising 12 men and 2 ladies, was led by RCC Managing Director Toshio Oki. On the RSGC side, the team was led by Ezani Abu Bakar, the RSGC Team Captain and Committee Member. The first day included a practice round to prepare for the main event.

RSGC and RCC have enjoyed a friendly rivalry since they established their Reciprocal Agreement on October 28th, 2013, thanks to the efforts of RSGC member Datuk Ichiro Suzuki. Their first Interclub Friendly Match took place in November 2015, also at RSGC, where RSGC came out on top.

In this year’s match, RSGC once again proved its strength, winning 8 points while RCC earned 4 points.

Looking forward, the tradition continues with upcoming matches at Hakone Country Club on September 9 and 10, 2024, followed by another encounter with Ryugasaki Country Club on September 12 and 13, 2024. We look forward to these events and the chance to keep the friendly rivalry alive. See you in September!
