This year’s Interport Home Match between RSGC and the Singapore Island Country Club (SICC) was a grand affair, bringing together a total of 120 players – 40 men and 20 ladies from each Club. Held on 29 and 30 June, the event took place on the RSGC Old Course, providing a perfect setting for this highly anticipated competition.
The weather was just right, and everyone had a fantastic time.
Leading the charge were RSGC Captain Raymond Yeoh and RSGC Lady Golf Captain Ai-leen Tan, alongside SICC Captain How Seen Yong and SICC Lady Golf Captain, Anne Goh, who showed countless support by traveling from Singapore to Malaysia to attend the prize presentation despite her injuries.

Day 1 excitement: RSGC’s John Ang & Roger Lim vs SICC’s Seah Siow Teck & Stephen Ng for the prestigious Dato’ Loke Wan Tho Memorial Trophy
The inaugural match dates back to 1965 at RSGC, featuring competitions for three trophies: the Men’s Tan Sri Hashim Ali Trophy, a black tee off-the-stick match; the Men’s Dato Loke Wan Tho Memorial Trophy, a white tee Four Ball Match Play Handicap event; and the Ladies C.C Tan / Leong Hoe Yeng Challenge Trophy, a red tee Four Ball Match Play Handicap event. The Dato’ Loke Wan Tho Memorial Trophy was first played in 1965, accompanied by the ladies’ trophy donated by C.C. Tan and Leong Hoe Yeng, past presidents of SICC and RSGC respectively. The Tan Sri Hashim Ali Trophy, introduced in 1991, was presented by General Tan Sri Hashim Mohd Ali, a past president of RSGC. Notably, this is the only Interport match where ladies also hold their competition alongside the men’s.
