Victory and Camaraderie: RSGC Shines in Jakarta Interclub Match

On 13 July 2024, 22 RSGC members, led by Team Captain Ezani Abu Bakar, traveled to Indonesia for the much-anticipated annual Interclub Match at Jakarta Golf Club (JGC). The team was excited for this event, which promised both competition and camaraderie.

The day started early with registration and breakfast at the Lobby Restaurant of JGC at 6:30 AM. RSGC members were treated to a delicious breakfast featuring traditional Indonesian dishes like Nasi Uduk and Soto. By 7:30 AM, the golf match began using the 2 Balls Texas Scramble format.

The RSGC team received a warm welcome from the Jakarta Golf Club members. This hospitality set a positive tone for the competition throughout the day. After a long and competitive game, the players enjoyed a lunch featuring Gado-Gado and a variety of other authentic Indonesian dishes, providing a perfect end to an exhilarating match.

The match concluded with the RSGC team winning, scoring 7 points against JGC’s 4 points. The win was celebrated with pride and reinforced the friendly relationship between the two clubs.

Overall, the Interclub Match at Jakarta Golf Club was a memorable event. It was not just about the scores but also about enjoying golf and building friendships. As this event is held annually, we eagerly anticipate welcoming the Jakarta Golf Club members to RSGC on 5 October 2024. See you in October for the home game!
