Looking Forward to 2026 & Cherishing a Memorable End to 2025
Dear Ladies, Happy New Year to all as we step into 2026. I hope the year ahead brings you good health, happiness, and continued enjoyment and progress in your golfing journey.
I am delighted to share that the 2026 competition calendar is now ready. A wide range of events has been thoughtfully planned, and I encourage everyone to set aside time to take part. These competitions are not only opportunities to enjoy the game, but also to challenge ourselves.
The Ladies Golf Section has always been vibrant and successful because of your enthusiasm, friendship, and strong support. As we move into the new year, let us keep encouraging one another, growing together on the course, and making every game a memorable experience.
I also hope to see more ladies joining our events this year. Whether you are an experienced golfer or just starting out, every round is an opportunity to learn and enjoy the game. For our newer golfers, we will continue to keep our games simple, friendly, and welcoming, so everyone feels comfortable and included.
I look forward to seeing all of you on the course and wish everyone a fantastic year of golf in 2026. May your swings be smooth and your scores improve.
Warm wishes,
Stella Chau
Lady Golf Captain
CLOSING 2025 WITH JOY LADIES & CADDIES 9-HOLE GAME – 8 DECEMBER 2025
The morning of 8 December saw the course come alive in a sea of blue as caddies arrived in matching T-shirts, ready to play alongside the ladies in a Greensomes Stableford format. A group photo marked the start of the day before the first flight teed off at 9.32 a.m.
After the game, everyone gathered for lunch at the Rotunda, where prizes, novelties, and lucky draws were presented, along with gifts for the caddies as a token of appreciation.
Congratulations to Lai Set Fah and her caddie, Azahar, who emerged as winners with an excellent score of 22 points. Ann Chong and her caddie, Muhd Radi, finished as runners-up with 21 points on countback, while Zuraidah Ismail and her caddie, Selim, secured third place, also with 21 points.
The Ladies Golf Section extends its thanks to everyone who participated and contributed for this event, making it a truly joyful and successful day.
LGSC YEAR-END SOCIAL GAME – 13 DECEMBER 2025
Despite inclement weather, the LGSC Year-End Social Game went ahead in high spirits with a shortened 9-hole Greensomes Stableford format. Players were limited to four clubs, and a fun first-hole challenge, where opponents selected each player’s tee-off club—added excitement and laughter throughout the round.
The day concluded with a festive sit-down lunch featuring prizes, lucky draws, and the Best Dressed Award. A sweet highlight was Nan’s Dee-lites, baked by Ai Dee and enjoyed by all.
Congratulations to Doka Suzuki and Ikmal Nizam, who emerged as winners with 18 points. Dorothy Ng and Liew Lee Kuen finished as runnersup with 17 points, while Stella Chau and Ai-Dee Wong secured third place with 16 points OCB. Congratulations also to Karen Teh for winning the Best Dressed Award.
Heartfelt thanks to Ladies Golf Section Working Group (LGSWG) and Ai Dee Wong for their dedication in organising a memorable and joyful close to the 2025 golfing year.
