The Pickleball Demo Day was successfully held on Saturday, 7 March 2026, from 10.00am to 11.00am at the RSGC Covered Courts, offering members an engaging introduction to the sport.
The session, conducted by Coach Edward, began with a clear and structured briefing on the basic rules and gameplay of pickleball. This was followed by demonstrations on proper paddle grip, stance, and fundamental techniques, helping participants better understand the mechanics of the game.
A total of 12 participants took part in the session, actively engaging in both the instructional and practical segments. Participants were guided through step-by-step drills, including paddle control and positioning exercises, before progressing to simple rally practices and guided play.
The small group setting allowed Coach Edward to provide individual attention, offering corrections and practical tips to improve technique and overall gameplay. Participants showed noticeable improvement in their understanding of the game and demonstrated increased confidence and coordination throughout the session.
Overall, the Pickleball Demo Day achieved its objective of introducing the sport effectively while fostering interest among members. The positive response and enthusiasm from participants reflect strong potential for continued engagement and future pickleball activities at the Club.
