The Committee and Subcommittee Appreciation Dinner

The prestigious Annual Committee and Subcommittee Appreciation Dinner took place on 18 June 2024 in the Banquet Hall. This distinguished event was organised to honour the Members who have dedicated countless hours of exemplary service to RSGC. Traditionally held before the Annual General Meeting (AGM), this year’s dinner marked the transition of several Subcommittee Members stepping down to pave the way for new Members.

The Club’s Subcommittees play a crucial role in offering valuable insights and advice to the Committee. Over the years, many ideas brought forward by Subcommittees have been adopted as policies or rules by The Committee (TC).

Thumbs up!

The evening was a delightful affair, with delicious cuisine and enchanting company. The ambiance was further elevated by the melodious serenades of Adakala, providing a perfect backdrop for a truly memorable evening. This celebration was a heartfelt tribute to the unwavering dedication and contributions of the Club’s esteemed volunteers.

Happy smiles

Chin Fook Tow (Golf Subcommittee)

“I am very passionate about golf and have served as a Subcommittee member for a year. As the captain says, it’s about what we can do for the club. We want to contribute to the Club!”

Kenny Khoo (Golf Subcommittee)

“I am passionate about serving in the golf department, but I feel that we can do more. I wish we could be more assertive and have the freedom to implement some of the things we have planned. This event provides a great opportunity for us to mingle because we often spend time within our own committee without interacting much with others.”

Stella Chau (Ladies Golf Subcommittee)

“I really appreciate this event, and I’m fully supportive of anything that benefits the club.”

Loong Wei Hin (Disciplinary Subcommittee)

“This event is a wonderful opportunity to extend recognition and appreciation. We serve the club out of our deep love for it. It’s about what we can do for the club, rather than what the club can do for us.
