She was chosen to represent Malaysia for TDC (Tourist Development Corporation) in Europe, performing in countries such as Finland, Germany, and the Netherlands. Notably, in 1984, Nora was handpicked by former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad and his wife Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali to represent Malaysia under the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), further solidifying her reputation as a cultural ambassador.

Nora started her singing career in 1987. She started with her first band, The Javelin band, and later joined Steps Band, a seven-piece ensemble, in 1988. They reached the final of AJL 3 (Anugerah Juara Lagu) in 1988 with the song ‘Mengapa Sepi Tanpa Berita.’ In 1990, Nora became a member of Artstream Band, a sixpiece band, and released an album titled ‘Laluan Rindu’ under ASP Production. Nora’s journey continued through various bands and solo endeavors, culminating in the formation of Adakala Band in 2003. This remarkable journey led her to become the band’s leader, a role she proudly holds to this day.

Adakala Band was called to audition at RSGC in 2018 under F&B Convenor Halim Dato Merican. and has since been an integral part of the club’s musical scene. Many of her band members changed over the years but Nora at the helm of Adakala remains strong to date. Nora reminisces, “4 bands were auditioned. It was a sweet memory Nora for us when we were selected and were asked to perform for the whole night and immediately start to perform at RSGC”.
